What is a parallel-eye video?
A parallel-eye 3D video shows two versions of the same scene side by side: the left half is what your left eye should see, the right half is what your right eye should see. Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between parallel-eye and cross-eye 3D?
Parallel-eye (also called side-by-side or SBS) places the left image on the left and the right image on the right, so you relax your eyes to look 'through' the screen. Cross-eye swaps the halves. SBS is the standard for VR and 3D TVs.
Do I need special glasses to watch a parallel-eye video?
No glasses are needed. You view the two halves by relaxing your eyes, or simply play the file in a VR headset or on a 3D TV.
Will the 3D video play on my phone?
Yes. The exported MP4 or WebM plays on any phone. On a phone screen the two halves are smaller, but in landscape mode it is still watchable, and it works great in VR viewers.
