What is 2D-to-3D video conversion?
2D-to-3D conversion takes a normal flat video and transforms it into a format that carries depth information for your eyes. The most practical format for video is side-by-side (SBS): the left-eye view on the left half of the frame and the right-eye view on the right half. When you view it with relaxed, parallel eyes — or play it in a VR headset or 3D TV — your brain fuses the two halves into a single image with real depth.
